The Master of International Development Policy (MIDP)

The Master of International Development Policy (MIDP) graduate degree program at Duke University could be your next step. The MIDP degree is tailored specifically to mid-career professionals who are already working on issues of sustainable development, social welfare and policy, economic development, and good governance.

We combine a rigorous core curriculum and nine optional areas of focus ranging from applied economics to peace and conflict resolution to innovation and entrepreneurship. The flexibility of the program allows you to take advantage of both the small class sizes and all the resources of a prestigious world-ranked university. Our expert faculty bring diverse research, practice, and teaching backgrounds into the classroom. But you won’t just learn from the faculty, you will learn from each other. When you graduate, you will join a global network of alumni from more than 100 countries around the world.

MIDP fellows have the best of Duke available to them, from the program resources at Sanford School of Public Policy and the Duke Center for International Development to opportunities across campus and in the region.
